As of October 2026, services that analyze your brand’s presence in AI assistant answers come in three kinds: tracking software you run yourself, one-off audits or reports, and done-for-you services. Their common purpose is to record which companies AI answers name and which pages they cite; the questions and collection methods vary by provider.

We’re Answersky (answersky.com), and we sell one option here: a one-off report and two monthly services. So we say what ours cost and what we can’t promise. The other services below are named only as plain facts from their own pages. We haven’t tested, ranked or compared them, and we recommend none over another.

What do services that analyze your brand in AI answers actually do?

They ask AI assistants a set of questions the way a buyer would, and write down what comes back: which companies each answer names, and which web pages it links as sources. Done once, that is a snapshot. Done on a schedule, it shows what changed.

Diagram: one question card sends arrows to three assistant shapes. Each returns an answer card. A ledger on the right ticks the businesses each answer names and links each to a page card.
What these services do, in one picture: ask buyer questions of several assistants, then record who is named and which pages are linked. Drawing for illustration.

The answers also move. In Answersky’s Oct 15, 2026 test, about 60% of the firms a leading AI assistant, with web search, named for a question appeared in both answers when we asked it twice. The full study leaves the assistant unnamed; it covered one assistant on one day. Still, it is why you want a service that asks more than once, or one that tells you it doesn’t.

What are the three kinds of service?

They differ in who does the work after the check, and how often the check runs.

Tracking software

You sign in, choose the questions and watch the answers over time. As of late October 2026, here is what each tool’s own page says:

  • Peec AI calls itself “AI search analytics for marketing teams”. It names ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, and has a “Find Key Sources” feature that shows which sites are cited.
  • Profound calls itself an “AI marketing platform”. It names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Google AI Overviews, and reports “sources cited across answers”. The page offers both a demo and a sign-up.
  • Semrush’s AI Visibility Toolkit gives a visibility score from 0 to 100, mentions and cited pages. Its prompt tracking covers “ChatGPT Search, Google’s AI Mode, and Gemini”.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar tracks mentions and citations. Its prompt-based reports cover AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot, and it is tied to an Ahrefs account.
  • Otterly.AI describes AI search monitoring and optimization. It lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot, and says it tracks brand mentions and the links cited.

Those are what the companies say about themselves. We haven’t checked how any of them work in practice.

One-off audits and reports

You get a snapshot and decide what to do with it. Ours is the Quick Scan (free) and the Full Report.

Done-for-you services

Someone else does the work after the check. Answersky’s two are Guided, where we write the fixes and you paste them in, and Done for you, where we make the changes and you approve them.

What should you check before you pick one?

These questions work for any of the three kinds. This is the short version; How do I choose an AI visibility tool? has the fuller checklist.

  1. Which assistants does it ask? The lists differ. As of late October 2026, the pages above name different sets: one lists ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, another adds Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek and Google AI Overviews. Match the list to where your buyers ask.
  2. Which questions does it ask? Ask whether you choose them, whether you can see them, and whether each is asked more than one way.
  3. How often does it check? One snapshot can mislead. In Answersky’s Oct 15, 2026 test, the share of firms repeated between two asks of the same question ranged from 27% to 90% across single questions.
  4. Do you see the cited sources? All five pages above describe reporting on cited sources. Ask which you get: the pages, the domains or only a count.

For each question, firms named in both answers divided by firms named in either. The overall value sums the overlap counts across questions and divides by the summed union counts; it is not an average of the question percentages. Answersky's Oct 15, 2026 test: 56 answers from one AI assistant with web search, each question asked twice. Counts are approximate; see the full table and limits.

Where does Answersky fit?

We’re one option, with a free check and three paid ones:

  • Quick Scan is free. It shows whether AI names you at all, and who it names instead. It has no score and no fixes.
  • The Full Report is $30 once. A 0 to 100 score for each of ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, who is named instead, the sites the answers rely on, and the top 5 fixes. See what one looks like.
  • Guided is $99 a month. We write the page fixes and article outlines and you paste them in. We also name the sites to get listed on. A weekly check on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude is included.
  • Done for you is $549 a month. We make the changes on your site and on the lists AI cites, and you approve each one before it goes live.

Guided and Done for you can be cancelled any time. We ask the models behind ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude through their APIs, with web search, so the apps can answer differently. We can’t say when, or whether, a change will lead to you being named: each month the report shows what the answers say and what moved. The plans in full and what we do and don’t do. There are other providers, and we haven’t compared their prices here.

How can you try one for free?

Use our Quick Scan: 6 of your buyers’ questions on ChatGPT and Perplexity, 12 answers, and who AI named instead of you. It shows named or not in each answer. Start a free Quick Scan. Results on the scan page when ready, plus an emailed copy; queued or review requests arrive by email within 1 business day.

One scan is one sample, so read the first result as a snapshot and check again before you decide what to pay for. Our AI visibility studies show how we count.

What are the limits of this post?

All 56 answers in Answersky’s Oct 15, 2026 test came from one AI assistant, with web search, on one day. It was told to recommend firms by name where relevant, and we didn’t test answers without that instruction. It shows a pattern, not a ranking, and the consumer apps can answer differently from the APIs. The full test page lists the limits and the counting method.

The descriptions of other services come from their own pages as of late October 2026 and can change. We haven’t tested those services.

Nothing here says any service, ours or anyone else’s, will get your company named.
